This week Bert went to the market to find the best deals he could with the generous donations you made via our JustGiving page. This equated to 1,260 oranges, 2,119 apples, 150 cabbages and 200 onions - all for only £300! We have to thank the guys at John Henshall’s Fruit and Veg to sorting us out with some great deals. This leaves us with £700 for more donations to come. This week we focused on fruit and we hope the donations will help feed kids getting back to school.
The real praise goes to the charities that make these donations possible. These are the Wythenshawe Community Grocery, Cre8 Macclesfield, Hatters Outreach and Rob's Angels which are run by wonderful volunteers.
